Every panel holds its own action, shot size, camera angle, dialogue, sound effect and art note — plus a contact sheet and a reading-flow trace to catch problems before you ink.
Character files with role, appearance, personality, motivation and arc, backed by a proportion guide for consistent redraws. Map alliances and rivalries on a relationship chart, break plot into acts and beats, and log the places, factions and rules that keep continuity intact.
Plan issues by page count and deadline, watch the countdown to your next delivery, and follow every page from thumbnails to export. Check lettering density and balloon placement, look up trim and bleed for print, manga and vertical formats, and read your pace on production charts.
Twelve lessons across three levels cover panels, pacing, camera, lettering and publishing, each closing with a five-question test that lifts your competency radar. A daily exercise keeps your streak going, backed by a glossary of more than two hundred terms.

Comicsmith is built to be a closed sketchbook, not a broadcast tower. It does not collect, store or transmit any personal data, and it does not need an internet connection to work. Everything you create — every panel, every character file, every schedule — stays on your own iPhone or iPad. This policy explains exactly what that means.
None. Comicsmith has no sign-up, no login and no analytics pipeline. We do not collect names, emails, device identifiers, location data, usage statistics or any other information about you or your work.
Since nothing is collected, nothing is used. We don't analyze your habits, profile your reading or writing patterns, build advertising audiences, or sell or share information with anyone, because there is no information to share in the first place.
Every page you build on the Studio Board, every entry in your Story Bible, and every deadline on your Production Desk is written to local storage on your device only. There is no cloud sync, no server-side database and no backup copy sitting on our infrastructure — because we don't operate any.
Comicsmith does not embed third-party analytics kits, advertising networks or crash-tracking trackers. The app runs its Studio Board, Story Bible, Production Desk and Comics Academy entirely with code that ships inside the app, with no outside service watching over your shoulder.
The safest data is data that never travels. Because your work never leaves your device and is never transmitted over a network, there is no server breach, no intercepted upload and no account credential that could ever be exposed. Standard iOS device protections cover the rest.
Comicsmith does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from anyone at all. The app contains no chat features, no accounts and no way for a user's details to reach us, in line with the spirit of COPPA.
There is no account to manage because there is no account. If you ever want to remove everything — every issue, every character file, every lesson streak — simply delete the app from your device. Nothing remains anywhere else, because nothing was ever sent anywhere else.
If our approach to privacy ever changes, we will update this page with a new effective date and describe the change plainly. Our starting principle will not move: local-first, offline-first, collection-free.
